Buttered Side Down makes short, wordless comedy videos filmed in first person, where everyday tasks like making ice cream or skateboarding go wrong through visual effects. The channel is made anonymously by two visual effects artists in Los Angeles, and it won the Visual and Special Effects award at the 2019 Streamy Awards.

"We try to make our content accessible to as many people as possible. That means writing jokes that make us laugh, but are also appropriate for all ages and don't rely on dialogue."
